I see a lot of people pull their mask down when they see that I myself am not wearing one. I don't mean to make them feel awkward or foolish, but this doesn't stop until we do people.
I got kicked out of goodwill today. Yeah, goodwill (In rural Ohio at that). I've been going for months and today, I walk in.
She said "sir do you have a mask?"
I said, "No".
She said "Do you need one?"
I said, "No"
She said "Well sorry you can't shop here without a mask"
At this point I had been walking around the store for 10 minutes. I was going to spend money.
I stayed silent and just looked at her, She said "They aren't my rules I just have to enforce them". I walked towards the door and replied simply "No you don't". While walking out to the car in hindsight I thought I should've replied "they don't pay you enough to be the mask police" you know, trying to be polite. It's a small town.. Oh well. No skin off my back. They didn't make any money off me and I didn't put anymore shit in my garage I don't already need.... whew
edit: Just think about the dirty ass shit in goodwill and they require you to wear a mask. I suppose it's not a bad idea without a pandemic.
You did good. From my experience it's only those people that force it. I work at a brewery and everyone I work with knows the truth about china flu. We don't force anyone to wear mask even though we are suppose to. It's the morality police that is enforcing it.
I've never been told to put on a mask, I really want someone to ask me and start filming me tho haha
