Trusting some random developers to regulate your vote counting is like setting them as definite electoral college. These software errors could be made not because they are poor developers (MANY INTERPRETATIONS HERE) but they could be green-card holders that simply hate the American system. The beauty of hand-counting is that a central instance of fraud is not in the hands of quirky people. Why would politicians have to learn-to-code to verify the results of an election anyway? Isn't that way too burdensome?
Many European nations hand count their votes (not that much of the EU actually cares what their people do vote, in Ireland the EU made them vote again on several issues many times until they got the result they wanted, in France, Belgium etc. they just ignored what the people voted).
Switzerland, which based its system on the original US state system and managed to keep most money/power in the hands of their states (cantons), does hand counting and they hold referendums on both federal and state matters every odd month.
Granted, they don't get 120% voter turnout like Biden and the Kim Jongs do.
Switzerland also allowed showing your sword or bayonet as proof you were a citizen and allowed to vote, as noncitizens did not serve the compulsory military term and could not possess such weapons.
They also vote as a town if an immigrant can become a citizen, being a whiner about how their old country was better has gotten multiple people voted down.
Aye, Switzerland might come out of this relatively okay depending. Unfortunately from being there it seems it's is in the same situation as the US with Marxism on the rise among youth + academia, only one generation behind.

Also a very high amount of guns per capita too. Sure, you're not technically meant to use them (beyond target practice which is mandated for men that did their military service or hunting), but having them means the potential is there to overthrow tyranny if needed.

Absolutely agree on both points. Each canton has so much autonomy too. You want to even less taxes you know where to go. I don’t know how we begin to fix the mess here.

There are also cantons that are like commiefornia. Canton Jura (people act like it isn't even a canton if they aren't just ripping on it 24/7, and that's saying something considering how much some of the better cantons get ripped on) has very high taxes.
Also people still trust the media too much. The MSM painted Trump's tax cuts as this terrible thing that benefits only the rich and people, especially young people, lapped it up, not realising Swiss taxes are actually lower in many cantons than in many states of the US (or at least comparable in others).
