This election is truly amazing to watch.
I sat until midnight watching these election commissioners in Wisconsin debate on whether or not to change rules like absentee stipulations, retroactively.
I watched some local heroes stand up to people trying to trick and intimidate into making changes.
I watched them threaten people in Michigan the other night as well. Thankfully those people in Michigan rescinded their certification.
It's looking more and more like the battle for America is starting locally.
I love that we're all not relying on just one guy. And I love that we're showing everyone that this movement is not just Trump.

3-3 vote after hours of sleaze attempts, so no major changes to recount procedures, which Dems were trying to sneak through. They all know that an honest recount flips the state, and puts some of the filthy criminals in legal jeopardy.
An important facet was the state LAW which requires signatures for Absentee Ballot requests.
lol the problem is that the new system they installed in the last 4 years did not comply with the law and does not require a signature with the request.
So the dems were trying to 'fix' that and they failed.
If the SC or courts follow the law a TOOOOON of ballots will be thrown out.
Situations like this are going to make it evident whether or not our country still respects the rule of law.

Actually they voted pretty early on, ND then it was 3-3 so basically that meant no sweeping rule change. But then they starting trying to pass these induvidual nitpicky motions for changes and Dean shut all of them down it was wild.
Trump campaign ponied up nearly $3 million for a recount in Wisconsin per state law. The Wisconsin Election Board met last night to propose a new 2020 recount manual that would take effect immediately under the guise of covid. Using the “staff’s recommendation” the d’s tried to change the rules in the middle of the game to keep the Trump campaign from watching the recount closely. Keep in mind the board is 3 R’s 3 D’s. R’s agreed to masks, hand sanitizer and plexiglass but stood their ground when it came to being able to watch the count and attempted to prohibit any board of health from restricting the count, calling for all involved to be categorized as “essential workers”. D’s wouldn’t go for it. R’s would not agree to the new 2020 language and argued if they do not agree to a modification of the language tonight, the prior language from 2018 should stand. Dems BTFO at that very moment and mood visibly changed fast. The D’s then tried to pretend the new 2020 recount manual that they just spent hours working through, was irrelevant because it didn’t include the changes they wanted.
Bottom line: Based R’s stood their ground. By not agreeing to the proposed changes under the guise of covid by the D’s and staff, the existing language stands, other than the masks, gloves and plexiglass agreed upon.
CO is fighting the exact.same.thing. These Dems in Mi are doing. Feels as if there was some communication that went out to coordinate how to work the system for counting at the county level!
Does the plexiglass mean face shields, or do will the counters get to hide behind see through walls?

It was proposed a plexiglass wall could be between the counters / challengers but in the event a ballot is challenged, counters would hold them up against the plexiglass so challengers can see them up close without being in close contact.
I guess that's not terrible, but I still am worried about having any short of divide between the watchers and the counters.
Imperfect solutions in an imperfect world. Sometimes that is all we can hope for.

Dems seem worried/defensive about applications for absentee ballots being challenged for authenticity. From what I gathered, originally, there was a signature that could be matched on a mailed in paper application. They since went digital, so now, there's no signature, only a "digital record" with maybe a generated email sent to the user as "confirmation."
One of the unsuccessful language changes requested (aggressively challenged by Dean) was removal of text directly describing absentee ballot validation and instead citing the underlying section as a reference. Dems claimed it was more precise to just cite the section. To me, it appeared to be an attempt to make it easier for ppl to either "overlook" the citation contents or for them to try to change the underlying section separately (probably unlikely, but wouldn't put anything passed 'em).
He truly held the line.

Admittedly I only watched maybe 10 minutes of it and skimmed through but, a lotta people sorta tease the 'accountant' types, myself included, for how stubborn they are about following the procedures to a T and how invested they are in everything being orderly, punctual, procedural, etc. But these situations are where they shine. He pointed out that they investigated when they were worried about Russian interference, so why not now? He laid out his arguments in a way that any sensible and reasonable person could see it made sense. Polite but stubborn. And the two ladies that backed them up, you can tell these four are agreeable people but they stood up when it mattered most. Thank you all for doing the right thing.
