Meh...Brennan is a disgrace, but this is a naive view. Many 1st gen are red pilled, at least the men. In New York, many of 1st and 2nd gen are Trump supporters, especially those from law enforcement and fire fighter families.
Interesting. I've been trying to identify a similar dynamic in history to our current situation and coming civil war, and Belfast/NI was one candidate, along with the English Civil war in the 17th century.
Our "revolution" was a rebellion. Nobody tried to depose the King; we just wanted to be left alone
Our "War of 1812" was a 4th quarter of that rebellion that put it to bed
Our "civil war" was another rebellion, this time resulting in a win for union and a loss for separation. But again, it wasn't a true "civil war" in the sense that there were geographic boundaries. Neither people in Boston nor Atlanta had to worry about their neighbors.
I'm not sure what's coming next, but it will be geographically dispersed, and neighbor against neighbor. I don't think we'll reach the intensity of the Balkans in the 90's, because there is not a significant ethnic component to the conflict. It's all ideology.
At my age, it took some subconscious influence to start getting up at 6:00 and working out for an hour every day. I've not nailed it down yet.
Yes, but you don't just go balls out against your neighbor, at least most of the time, because maybe you need to buy groceries from his shop etc.. and then if something does kick off you still have to go to his shop the day after, thats why you wore a mask the night before when you were shooting at each other, and why he wore one as well, the rest of the time its a slow burning pressure cooker. If you read the history of ulster you see how complex this type of situation gets after 10 generations. Trinity by Leon Uris is a good study in that.
I read that about 25 years ago. It was very good. I might read it again.
I agree. This is going to be something we've never done before on this continent (if it happens). I still hope we can fend it off. After all, our side really cares. Theirs is full of useful idiots and the willfully ignorant.
Speaks fluent Arabic as well.

Lot of overlap between the IRA and the PLO in the 60's and 70's
True, trained amongst other organizations as well.
Was a real eye opener for me when I saw the murals in Belfast celebrating the PLO
Speaking of Belfast....I read somewhere recently that what you are experiencing in America is the "Ulsterization of Politics".

he doesn't realize his 15 minutes were up long ago.
Here a applicant for treason.
