Giuliani has said there were servers in Spain and Germany used. But did not confirm a raid on them.

82
smartass 82 points ago +83 / -1

Sidney confirmed that the raid happened.

79
rusty_spittoon 79 points ago +80 / -1

The fact they don't know if "the good guys or bad guys" got them probably means there is a secret federal investigation already in progress on them beyond what they are preparing to present in court

Also why the media has little to no info to report on it left or right, gag orders or something?

13
smartass 13 points ago +13 / -0

That's a troubling thought but they have enough evidence to swing the election even ignoring the vote machines.

10
JustSayIt 10 points ago +10 / -0

Yeah, good chance that she knows they have them but doesn't want the opposition to know, since that would make the evidence a target for the "bad guys" in those intelligence agencies.

8
KulpinasHaanjabi 8 points ago +8 / -0

Which federal organization with the power to do such things has the best interests of Americans in mind? I’d say it’s far more likely that a federal organization did the raid to destroy the evidence because they are all a bunch of government check welfare queens who work for the commie democrats.

30
pithys 30 points ago +30 / -0

but she implied she didn't know who did the raid

35
SikoraP13 35 points ago +36 / -1

As she should. That's how she's gotten the reputation she has. By not saying things she's not sure about.

2
WillyP702 2 points ago +3 / -1

You can't talk about matters of national security . They make you sign papers . More than likely she was shown enough to help her with her case.

10
tremendous_trump2020 10 points ago +11 / -1

She knows. Trump's people either have them, or will have them. Refer to the press conference given by Ezra Cohen-Watnick the other day.

9
JustSayIt 9 points ago +10 / -1

She may not want the "bad guys" to know that the "good guys" have it. It would make the evidence and those investigating a target.

3
MolonLabe 3 points ago +4 / -1

No need for quotation marks there Pede. We are the good guys and they are the bad guys. Just say it.

15
iamkats 15 points ago +16 / -1

She didn’t, iirc the exact words were that she THINKS it did happen. I hope it did, but we can’t pin all our hopes on this. Focus energy everywhere else and this can just be the bonus power up

19
Harko 19 points ago +19 / -0

But why? I mean the first question should be why does the US needs servers for its election in Germany and Spain. It makes no sense to me.

12
deleted 12 points ago +12 / -0
8
a_rogue_modron 8 points ago +8 / -0

The US has no need for servers in Spain or Germany for this. This was done in an attempt to keep them out of reach of anyone who might go looking for them. Of course, nobody outraces the reach of the Feds when they actually get motivated. Nobody.

As for why they're not talking about everything they have, if they have a solid case they can't just come out and say everything at once. Ideally, you would want to motivate the opponent into doing something that reveals they know what you have.

I do recall hearing that part. It makes me wonder if they are showing their cards a little bit at a time while they put together the case.

Yes Sidney did confirmed it.

Two days ago I was told this was disinformation.

21
dissin_nips [S] 21 points ago +22 / -1

Curious, was that due to the only proof being the random tweet from Germany? I know for quite some time that was the only thing backing up the theory. I've never seen/heard a confirmation this explicit before by anybody within the campaign's proximity.

Curious if you have any info or links. This seems legit, but I'll delete the post if I find that it's bogus.

Military wouldn't be involved in something like this unless they were expecting world war 3. this would be CIA/BND + need to know politicians on either side of the fence who purchased the raid. Actual boots would be contractors. This would require Merkel to directly sign off on. BND iirc reports directly to their chancellor.

If Journalists want to know they need to ask the US ambassador in Germany. That is a public facing official who would be a need to know if the US was involved in a raid on German soil.

1
petethedragon 1 point ago +2 / -1

I think some of the moves made within DOD leadership and intelligence are intricately connected with the election.

No way it's a coincidence.

Also a good sign because a President who thinks he's leaving in 45 days doesn't shake things up like that.

-3
Reformed_Maga -3 points ago +4 / -7

From the article:

The former director of the government’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency

How would the former director know? Oh, it's Chris Krebs who Trump just fired. Sorry, not going to trust that swamp monster.

Scytl itself issued a press release on November 13 denying the rumors. It claims it does not tabulate, tally or count votes in the United States.

Again, not trusting them either.

The only reference to a Scytl server in Frankfurt is in a highlight of its election night reporting for the 2019 European Parliament elections. To accomplish that Scytl could do so without a hitch, the company said it “set up the data collection center in Barcelona, as well as an emergency back-up center in Frankfurt.” While it appears the back-up data center was set-up for the European Parliamentary elections, that server hasn’t been mentioned by Scytl since. It’s plausible that the server still exists or that it was only temporary and Scytl has since parted with it.

Sounds like the data was likely backed up to servers in Germany. Now this actually lends plausibility to the claim.

Lastly, they claim an Army spokesperson said this was false. Maybe they are in the know and maybe they are not. Maybe this is top secret till the data can be brought up to the supreme court?

When the VERIFY team asked a U.S. Army spokesperson if the Army had raided a tech company in Germany to obtain election information, they said, “Those allegations are false."

Plus, it's an anonymous source at the Army. They do not tell us who.

We need to see how things play out.

1
tdwinner2020 1 point ago +2 / -1

The second link redirected to https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/verify/claims-scytl-german-servers-raided-false/507-e120d34c-3da0-4367-9d9c-9e97a30e2ecf and the denial there comes from the fired CISA head. So that denial is suspect.

The first one is more believable because it says

The claims center on a purported raid by the U.S. Army in Germany. But no such raid took place. On Saturday, a spokesperson from the Army told the Associated Press, "Those allegations are false.”

12
supersecretaccount82 12 points ago +12 / -0

I want to believe, of course, but wouldn't it be kind of an international scandal if the US Army barged into a server building in another country and took machines from there? Like, imagine if there were some goofy election in Hungary and their military "raided" a Google server room in California.

4
dissin_nips [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

I read somewhere that it happened to be a CIA facility or something like that. It makes the theory even wilder, but elections ARE their specialty, so it's possible. In this case, it would basically be the US Govt raiding another US Govt facility. (but really, who knows for sure.. it could also be as simple as a joint op between US and German forces)

What I find interesting is the reaction to this news. This sounds like pretty good news to me. I don't see it as a negative thing at all. If this was something negative the media would be all over this story with their talking points but the fact they're not reporting on it means one thing. .A branch of government who cares about America and President Trump has it. Sideny is a serious person and would not say it if it didn't happen. The Texas senator who broke the news would not have said it if it didn't happen.

1
StaryHickory 1 point ago +1 / -0

Justhenew reported that this is likely being confused with an earlier event in July. Unrelated. I am afraid there might be nothing to this. It's crazy if there isn't. Because it has gotten so much attention and there are people talking about the data on a server that was not even confiscated.
