"I agree there appears to be irregularities that may have happened on election night. I support Speaker Vos' call for the Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections to use its investigative powers and review how the election was administered. The committee has tools at its disposal to find out if there is clear evidence of wrong doing. In the coming days they should be gathering all the evidence that is available, and then make a decision on what the next step is.

I understand how much of an important moment this is for our state and entire nation, which is why I favor taking a deeper look into how the election was managed. This is beyond a partisan issue for me. When voters have questions about the integrity of our election system, they must be addressed in order for the government to serve its people effectively. I believe we are taking steps to answer some of the questions that have been raised surrounding the election by having this committee use its investigatory powers. If they call for further actions to be taken, they will have my full support. In the meantime I am encouraging anyone who has witnessed irregularities to report them to my office so I can forward them to the committee.
