That's pretty standard in Constitutional argumentation.

They were talking about how the founders set up the electoral college as a counterweight to fraud.

It slows down the process. Notice how the fraudsters are always looking to speed things up.

So if they brought a case of foreign interference in our election by foreign entities before the Supreme Court they would use their interpretation of 68th to come to a ruling on how we proceed forward?
