I'm not proud of my past, but I'm proud of having escaped this insane ideology. And yes, I made a self-indictment and at least tried to fix the stupid shit I did. But it wasn't the mockery of the liberals or conservatives that opened my eyes it was in fact your not very much liked milk toast fence sitter Tim Pool (yes I know, a lot of people here don't quite like him).
I think in some regards David Atkins has a point here. Even with justice and the law on your side IMHO those people will never simply accept that. The peer pressure is just too strong. On the left it is if you don't agree with your peers opinion you get treated worse then "your" enemies. So you comply and to proof that you're one of them you go each day a bit further to proof you are on the "right side" of history.
So you (as in TDW) have to have a good strategy to slowly and painlessly red-pill all those people. Making them once again proud happy citizens of the USA. Because, I assure you, if they are able to escape this psychotic ideology they will NEVER go back. Some of those people are lost beyond help, but a lot of them are just caught in a slippery slope.
But please for gods sake don't try to persuade your own people that the left's ideology is bad in the same way as you did here in Germany after WW2. You did a lot for us. You gave us the longest period of peace in europe ever, so much goods, money, tried to fixed our education and created jobs everywhere. Even today, your US military bases gives us protection and money almost for free (So yes, I can totally understand why you don't want to do that anymore). Well and yes, you fucked up in the middle east and we now kind of have to pay that price, but that's also on our part so no hard feeling on my side (can't blame you for my corrupt useless spineless government I'm unable to fix).
But this way of just giving people nice things so they are (for the moment) happy and simply telling them what's right and what's wrong in hope they understand D-o-e-s N-o-t W-o-r-k but instead it festers a culture of ignorance and entitlement. Because all the "truth" is given to you, so you don't question anything and if so much stuff is handed to you for just existing you take too much for granted and then you become so easily receptive for those far left ideologies.
So I think in some regards he's right. You have to think how to "reconstruct" those blue areas. How to help them escape this psychotic ideology, help them seeking doing better. And while I think Trump is by far the honest politician ever, he's dropping red-pill's everywhere and he's the best possible guy cleaning up your crony establishment. I don't think he's the best guy "reconstructing" your blue areas.

Truth to be told, on one hand I so much envy you and each year when I lose in the diversity visa lottery it makes me sad for weeks but on the other hand, I don't envy you for having to fight such a hard battle I couldn't imagine ever winning.
