Yeah it would. But almost as good: I'm pretty sure he was pushed out. Somebody leaked info on his insider stock trading, after which he announced he would retire. I suspect that was only really the shot across the bow, to let him know they were serious about exposing something worse, maybe his involvement in the coup.
