Liberals think the world and our society just fell out of the sky and just organized itself this way. They have no historical understanding and context.
My brother is the smartest person I know. He’s also fucking retarded politically, a Trump-hating commie. I love him but he’s the epitome of everything I hate.
When speaking to really smart people about politics, its not about trying to convince them, its about asking them questions that will force them to have to think about in order to defend. The more open ended questions you ask about their “beliefs”, the more it will force them down the rabbit hole of questioning what they actually believe.
I wasn't fond of Charles Dicken's "Great Expectations." Maybe it's because I had to read it in 9th grade....
...but I never forgot what I consider a great point to the book. All of Pip's wealthy, educated friends skipped out on him when he was at his lowest, but his humble brother-in-law, Joe the blacksmith, a simple and uneducated man, took him in and helped him out when he needed it.
Its beautiful when they start attacking each other, which is what inevitably happens with the left when they form their echo chambers and start becoming more and more radical.

They're that way about everything--Laws, for instance. They ignore them unless they need them to go after someone else.
