Yes, I get that. They are the foundation of the Catholic Church. Saint Peter, the first Pope, was one of those 12.

Still not Catholic unless Peter is a time traveler. Christianity was a small cult for hundreds of years, with no church, and no official texts or dogma.

Catholic church wasn't real until long after, even if disciples involved helped to create it, they were disciples, and Christians, first.
