I think DOJ getting publicly involved right now would be a mistake. It has potential to scare moderates away and will be spinner as a power grab. We know it’s needed, but people who are less informed than us would have right to be concerned with a sitting president doing that. What I think can and should happen, is once evidence is laid out in court and serious charges are alleged, DOJ then gets publicly involved if evidence is strong enough.
