He didn't say Sidney Powell was lying. He described a situation that gives everything else he said more credibility. He played it as an objective newsman. That move allowed the rest of what he said to enter the Central Narrative and that is GOOD.

How else is he possibly supposed to investigate other than by asking Sidney Powell?
Seemed to me like he was intentionally creating doubt in peoples minds.
None of US are going to believe that. It's for the people who always complain about evidence (commies).
