It's amazing how frequently their own precedents and rule changes come back to bite them. This with the Clinton administration, Reid with the change to prevent Supreme Court filibusters with a simple majority, the Biden Rule (if the president and senate majority are different parties in an election year you can nominate new SCOTUS, if they are different you can't- I know this was the common practice pretty much from the beginning, but he codified it), California angry at Republicans ballot harvesting after they legalized ballot harvesting.
Yea, they have no foresight. Play the long game, let them use a pool cue to "putt" for the eagle they think they're getting, despite them being on the Tee still. Then just line up and take your "shot". It's their fault they're in the way. ;)
