Biden pledged he wants 100 millions tests conducted. Well, 170 millions tests have already been conducted.

Kind of remind me of Dr. Evil (in Austin Powers): "I want One Million Dollars!"

The tests serve as excuses for more rolling waves of unpredictable restrictions and lockdowns. They use arbitrary positivity ceilings to trigger those restrictions. The more tests are done, the more "positive" cases are found (especially when using rapid tests with a near 50/50 false positive rate), and the quicker the arbitrary trigger points are hit.

Why? Tests will only tell you about that moment, not the next day. I never did understand why everyone was screaming for testing, you can't test a moving target.

Also based on statistics, the more randomly you test people, the higher your rate of false positives becomes.

Testing should only be used to test presumptive positive cases, which makes it practically meaningless as a tracking tool, since you're only testing people that you already think have the virus.
