Serious question: Does cracker mean "white as a saltine", or "crack the whip, master"? I'm trying to explain to my son what the hell this means and have heard both versions.
Probably started out as the whip and then morphed over time. I've heard both as well.
Now to be totally correct I'm Asian/White mix so I'm more of a buttered (yellow) type of cracker. Think Captain's Wafers.
