Why would attorneys release evidence in advance of a trial? Wouldn’t that tip off the opposing attorneys and allow them to prepare a more thorough defense?
I know in criminal proceedings that you have to give all of your evidence to the opposition ahead of time (Brady disclosure), but I don't believe such a requirement exists in civil cases.
That said, in either case, judges do not take kindly to people waving evidence in the public's face before the trial. This is because it sways the court of public opinion, and in the case of a jury trial, can actually disqualify jurors. It taints the impartiality of the system.
If you WERE going to show evidence to the public, it's probably going to be evidence that isn't contingent to your argument.
Rudy is a lawyer. He released what he could about Hunter Biden, without incriminating himself for child porn. And he got the word out that he gave it to the FBI and they did nothing. And now he's working on Trumps case. The proof of evidence will be given to the judge to make a call. HAs he delivered on anything? How about making NYC a nice clean city, and taking down major criminals?
