I think Trump allowed the election meddling to happen to:
1.) Expose the flaws in the election system so we can all get behind a Voter ID system
2.) To allow dozens and hundreds of corrupt officials to be exposed and dealt with afterwards
3.) Inundate every single news organization with the latest election developments for the next two months in order to memory hole him breaking up all of the three-letter agencies
Trump 4-D Chess: his executive order allows for the blocking of assets of any of companies contributing to foreign interference of the elections. Trump seizes facebook, twitter and google then turns them over to the U.S. Postal Service. Postal Service posts profit within first year.
Lot of risk in that plan.
He's a big risk kind of guy.
