I'm guessing Wednesday evening the hammer will fall. Probably a presidential address from the white house. I don't think networks can legally cut away without getting fcc license pulled. I say Wednesday because I think if we go into the Thanksgiving holiday without some big happening it will be too late. They need to capitalize on people discussing it at the family dinner
