Does that mean the state can’t certify?
If the state doesn’t certify, does that automatically mean that the electoral votes for that state cannot be granted to either candidate?
Trying to wrap my mind around the different ways this will play out. Hoping we can certify results for our GEOTUS, but I’ll be happy to have him chosen by the House of Representatives as well.
Interesting question. First, as capital obvious here, a precinct that does NOT certify, will not of course have it's votes counted in the State voter tally. Whether there is a procedure to over ride the precinct captain by a higher state election official, I don't know - probably depends on state law. Isn't the whole point of having to certify the result a procedure to make sure the poll workers, etc are doing the job on the up and up? Allowing observers to observe, checking signatures, etc etc. Yes, indeed, that is one of the (main) reasons. So you the poll workers block the observers, enter into the system the polluted (non-observed) ballots, by a massive amount, I would say you have every reason you need to NOT certify a result.
At this point, I would be shocked this doesn't go to Military Tribunals. Election results don't really matter at this point IMO. And our military defends the Constitution, which is clearly under attack. Regardless of the sitting President.
