The short version is that every time Government intervenes to fix a problem, they either:
Are trying to fix a problem that was created by Government.
Will end up making the problem much worse by additional regulation.
Companies that make products shouldn't have to be subject to what the government considers a "fair" price. They should charge whatever the market is willing to pay. Instead we've been innudated with this nonsense that if we don't force corporations to lower their prices then pEoPlE wILl DiE if they can't afford their prescriptions. De regulation and increased competition lowers prices naturally. Government mandate for lower prices results in decreased innovation due to the decreased reward for the inordinate amount of risk they're taking on.
Please let this be an announcement on de-regulation and not price-setting.
Could you explain further, please? I would like to be educated.
