In fact by the time the test results came back, she was over it.
She has ulcerative colitis and takes immunosuppressive drugs. She was told it would be devastating if she got it.
She was pretty sick for one day (fever, nausea, headache). That passed and she lost her sense of taste and smell for 3 days. Now she's fine.
So much fear mongering.
My 88 year old great uncle with Leukeima had it for several days at home, got bad enough to be hospitalized for several days and then recovered within two weeks. He is still alive and doing well for an 88 year old man with cancer.
