Serious question from someone who is pretty ignorant when it comes to local politics. What is the point of calling and complaining? There is no competition, other than leaving. So complaining isn't a very strong deterrent. Is it just to annoy them into listening to you? I get you could vote for someone else, but it just seems like a really weak disincentive to corruption.
It can rattle them. I’ve seen it done.
Actual demonstrations are more powerful, but hundreds of callers has a psychological effect.
One reason we have done better in keeping out threats to the Second Amendment, is because when the communists try to chip sway at it, thousands of people react negatively, and an alarm is sounded.
The American People should defend Trump’s victory as zealously as we do gun rights. Part of that is applying constant pressure to the RINOS.
Yep. A while back I busted my rear at a shitty job installing cable. Get sent to one of Three Section 8 turd farms. Have the privilege to meet said multiple generations in person with most being god awful animals. The exceptions being two elderly ladies that truly needed assistance and the only two that kept their place clean, neat and organized. These fucking scum need to be cut off. The best/worst is the one unit with an entire wall of Jordan's the scum collects as a hobby. I was working for $10.50 hr with sales requirements while this asshat has a hobby collecting $200 pairs of shoes.
Because you can bet your ass that BLM and Demsheviks are calling them nonstop and harassing them. Like the two Wayne County Republicans, they may be scared into doing the wrong thing. Or they may not care and they're just looking out for their own political careers, so they'd want to know which way the wind is blowing.
They need to know that public sentiment is AGAINST certifying with so many problems. Since we don't do intimidation or protesting at their houses, calling is really our only option, and it IS effective for reasons I mentioned.
That's really sad. Come to a country to get away from that crap only to be harassed by that crap (and they do it here in Australia as well) only to find out your adopted country is being subverted by the same crap.
This is for Maracopa County. The GOP will not sign off on it. She already refused to certify the machines yesterday. Still a good idea to call them, and see if they can get it thrown out.
I went to law school with Adrian at U of Denver in the late 90’s. He was a nice guy, and a Marine, but he was woke before anyone knew what woke was. We had horrible political arguments.
That is interesting. I was introduced to Adrian about 3 1/2 years ago though an attorney friend of mine. I was trying to create a non-partisan PAC to assist new political candidates in building their campaigns. He really liked the idea but was adamant it would only be for Dem candidates. I disagreed. We met a number of times and then he started asking if I ever wanted to run for office. He went on to say there are a number of County and State offices he could easily get me into as they are empty seats and I would run unopposed. He even offered to secure financial backing for a campaign. It got to the point where that was all he talked about, he completely stopped the conversation about the PAC. Finally I ignored his calls and stopped meeting with him. Oh and he wanted me to re-register from an Independent to a Dem.. From some of the things he said, I have no doubt he was behind McSally's Senate race loss to Sinema in 2018.
Very interesting. I haven’t spoken to him in almost 20 years. It was advertised in the DU Law alumni magazine that he won the Maricopa County position. Amazing that his name has become associated with an issue this big.
Not that this is important right now, but I find quoting Abe Lincoln on anything having to do with the Constitution to be pretty ironic. The man suspended habeas corpus and imprisoned thousands while he waged the bloodiest war in American history in order to prevent states from seceding, which is a right strongly implied in the constitution itself. Even if you think Lincoln was a great president, at least recognize that he violated the shit out of the constitution. He also set terrible precedents which later presidents abused. You don't get Woodrow Wilson without the centralization established by Lincoln, and if there's no Woodrow Wilson there's no US involvement in WW1, which means no WW2, which means no cold war. Etc...
That said, I know he ended slavery and therefore criticizing him in any way means you are in favor of slavery so I'll shut up now.
If Donald Trump did what Abe Lincoln did, the majority of this forum would be on their feet cheering. Including me. Sometimes you have to go above and beyond to achieve. And what he achieved wasn't ending slavery, that was an ancillary win. He kept the country together and reforged a union. We'll never know what would have happened had he been milquetoast about half of a country seceding.
At any rate, the anti-Lincoln narrative essentially manufactures the black pill that the USA has been false to it's core values and defunct since before the turn of the 20th century. There's a lot of strong arguments there, but that's a dark road.
Entire parts of the US, especially places like South Dakota, have never betrayed American values. Half of the country still believes in the Constitution. It's the federal government and Democrat run cities and states who are false to our core values.
I mean Abe Lincoln did shitty by the south FORCING THEM to secede.
Imagine if he was half the president Trump was he could have negotiated a deal instead of taxing them into war.
"If you release your slaves or free and pay them, we will CUT your taxes." But no, the north WANTED that slavery money until they couldnt get anymore due to the south seceding due to taxes.
You shouldn't be confused.
Look up the morrill tariff act and Abe Lincoln's First Message to the U.S. Congress from July 4th 1861 where Abe straight up ADMITS the war (in its 3rd month at the time) was over taxes.
One just has to actually read the words of politicians at the time instead of making guesses or trusting internet propaganda.
Cant really get the true story in summaries after a hundred plus years of propaganda.
Yeah that's what I was getting at with my "even if you think he was a great president" caveat. I personally think the CW was too costly. Secession would have been preferable, but obviously there is no way to know what could have unfolded from that. Maybe the USA and CSA break out into war a few years later anyway. Maybe the rivalry on the continent opens us up to foreign domination from some overseas empire.
But Lincoln mortally wounded the constitution, that much is clear. You could argue he had no choice, but it's what he did, and the dominoes from his actions should be recognized.
No, he did good, accepting the secession would have set a terrible precedent not only for the US but in general.
It would mean that every time a government is elected that has political views deeply different from people of a certain region of their country that region would do well to secede, I don't agree that would be a road to prosperity for any nation.
Upvoted but I disagree on one point. Had the union not been preserved, the United States would've been divided in two, and would've been conquered by European colonizers the same as Latin America and Africa were. I don't necessarily agree with every method Lincoln employed, particularly Habeus Corpus or Sherman's March. I do respect the man as an orator, a commander in chief, and the president who saved the Union. War is never pretty and it's honestly impossible to protect every constitutional right for every citizen. I wish we could and we should always strive to do so. It's impossible to avoid civilian casualties. Hell, we can't even do that now.
I think in Lincoln’s mind, he saw the south as treasonous for seceding, so him not giving people a fair trial was not bending the constitution in his mind.
On Woodrow Wilson. As much as I love Teddy Roosevelt, he REALLY screwed the pooch in the 1912 election by running a third party, thus splitting republican votes, and it ended up with one of the worst Presidents in US history. A massive blemish on who I consider to be a good politician, and person all around.
Yup, Roosevelt should have just pimaried Taft to get the Republican nomination again in 1912, then campaigned really hard to win the primary, I don't doubt that if he would have taken it he would have been re elected.
Jesus, chill the fuck out. Also read what I wrote. I criticized whoever chose Lincoln of all people as an authority figure on the sanctity of the constitution. Even if you believe drastic action was required, at least recognize the cost involved. You can point out the side effects of chemo without being a fan of cancer. Lincoln fundamentally altered the relationship between the states and the feds, and it's hard to look at the current state of liberty (again, look at the Lincoln quote they chose) and recognize how damaging the Civil War was.
Without the North winning the civil war, America would've been split in two. We were still weaker than most European powers at that point, even antebellum. The British would've probably swooped in, or some other colonizer like Belgium or Russia, to pick up the pieces. So you should add "apart from saving the union and American independence" to "freeing the slaves" in his list of accomplishments.
I've seen and heard people say that call and e-mail are pointless. But that couldn't be further from the truth.
You can bet your ass that BLM and Demsheviks are calling them nonstop and harassing them. Like the two Wayne County Republicans, they may be scared into doing the wrong thing. Or they may not care and they're just looking out for their own political careers, so they'd want to know which way the wind is blowing.
They need to know that public sentiment is AGAINST certifying with so many problems. That we would support them if they made the right call. Since we don't do intimidation or protesting at their houses like leftists do, calling is really our only option. It IS effective for reasons I mentioned. Make yourself heard if you live in Arizona.
When the election officials certify, it then goes to the legislature. State legislature picks electors.
People on here keep telling me that I'm wrong about this for the past 2 weeks but the way it works is:
election apparatus conducts election according to state law (or doesn't)
they certify results (or don't)
legislature sends electors or doesn't
guess fucking what, the legislature's decision is a political question which means courts can't review it.
As a result:
if trump convinces republicans that the election was stolen they have to send Trump electors
republican legislators lose their jobs if they don't vote trump because their constituents will be SUPER MAD
every swing state is 90 percent republicans with a corrupt democrat city throwing millions of votes to biden via fraud
if not enough electors are sent to get either candidate to 270, US house votes and Trump wins
Current polling from BEFORE the press conference has republicans nearly unanimous that there was fraud. Even 30 percent of democrats believed there was fraud BEFORE the press conference.
Do people finally see? Trump wins. There will be salt.
Yeah I know and I agree. I just see the big picture and I don't panic every time some fucking assistant dog catcher says they are certifying votes for Biden.
No it was just Rasmussen. And like I said, they are from before the nuclear press conference. Rasmussen is one of the less awful pollsters these days, so it seems like encouraging news to me.
You are wrong. The supreme court has already ruled that electors cannot break the laws placed by the legislature in their state. If an election has taken place, the state laws invariably say that the electors must pick the winners of the election.
Only way electors can pick whoever they want is if the election is nullified or if the state legislature changes the law before the president is picked, which would never happen.
The state legislature has the ultimate authority on selecting which electors go to vote in the Electoral College. If a state legislature votes for Republican electors, that state will send Republican electors, period.
What you're talking about are faithless electors, who are electors that vote differently than what they were selected by their state's legislature to vote for.
Up until the mid 19th century, legislatures chose the slate of electors directly. It's not unprecedented and it's pretty much the default provided for in the US Constitution.
To be honest I could be totally wrong. This is essentially an untested area of law. There is the constitution, there is state law, there is federal law. Which one controls if there is conflict? What is SCOTUS allowed to do?
My gut feeling is that if Trump puts forward a decent amount of proof of fraud (enough to affect the results) I can't see the supreme court not doing at least something, though they will probably do the bare minimum to avoid being seen as interfering.
If I had to guess how this plays out, I would bet on election results being invalidated statewide because of the fraud in the cities and no one gets to 270 which is basically the same as throwing the election to Trump.
Which in all just looks like further bad optics for them. Especially in this case where the Machines were never certified. They just want that claim to press for electors. Dangerous game.
Death to these fuckers. Enemies of the State! I so hope to God that Trump backs his shit up this time and carries through with some good old fashioned hangings!
I just sent out an email to all 4 emails listed below. I don't know if it will help, but this is what I wrote
Hello,
I am a citizen deeply concerned with the rush to certify Maricopa county. As everyone across the country sees, this election has been plagued by irregularities. I understand that many of you would like to certify as quickly as possible to have the responsibility off your shoulders, but in the long run that would be disastrous for this country.
There are 73 million Americans who believe President Trump won this election and it is being stolen from him, If you certify in a rush without a proper audit involving signature verification, those 73 million people will become convinced forever that the election was stolen. If just 1% of those people decide that this cannot stand and something must be done about this, that would be an army of 730,000 and a new civil war would surely erupt.
So for the good of this country, please, I implore you, do a proper audit with signature verification and spare the bloodshed that will surely result if you don't.
“These are state of the art machines. They aren’t like the old ones with problems. They have new faster scanners and better scanners...” they didn’t even say what the problems were with the old ones or address how these corrected them.
The new ones are better at cheating. So I've heard. But I'd like more evidence... I wish Sidney Powell would send me all the evidence so I could lose it in the mail.
No, still a long way to go, lots of chances for lawsuits, lots of chances to try to get it turned over to the state legislature and have them just choose the electors instead.
I'm not in Arizona but according to what people are saying it's going to voicemail. These people are probably ignoring the calls and are going to vote no matter if you try to call and tell them what to do.

This is for Maracopa County. The GOP will not sign off on it. She already refused to certify the machines yesterday. Still a good idea to call them, and see if they can get it thrown out.
The same Maricopa County GOP that didnt inspect the Dominion machines? Come on, man!
That person resigned i believe.
She did.
I don't think it was the same individual.
E-Mail Address & Phone Number for Maricopa County Recorder (that's Phoenix, Arizona)

^Adrian Fontes is corrupt as hell. Please feel free to blow up his phone/email, but don't expect him to do anything honorable.
Okay but the thing is, he conceded the race and lost - so I am guessing that the new guy takes over in January?
He is still the Maricopa County Recorder until the new Recorder takes over.. so he still has is fingers in this election.

Yes, we were a different country then, and the world was different, too. History is fkn complex.
If they certify, it triggers the next legal challenge. Don't worry pedes. Trump is on this.
I've seen and heard people say that call and e-mail are pointless. But that couldn't be further from the truth.

The Florida legislature convened a special session to directly select the electors in December 2000. Just in case SCOTUS ruled the wrong way.

"Its been rough being a chairman during the pandemic"
boo hoo.
for real. stop bitching and grow a pair. a lotta people are actually suffering and this asshole is complaining about being a chairman. fuck off.
If they used Dominion soft ware and certify, aren't they setting themselves up?
So, are the people who voted to certify TOTALLY fucked now?
Death to these fuckers. Enemies of the State! I so hope to God that Trump backs his shit up this time and carries through with some good old fashioned hangings!
my aunt and I both sent emails!
They are well aware of us. They are going to certify anyway. That Kraken better start making himself be known.
I wonder if trumps legal team knows what they're doing?
(Sarcasm, of course they do.)
what can be done legally after certification?
They can sue and write more lawsuits.
The legislature still gets to decide who the electors are afterwards.
nothing.
Actually some things can only be done AFTER certification.
There are always legal options, such as bringing everybody involved with the steal including the electors up on fraud charges.
I hope so pede.

How could you possibly process 6000-8000 ballots per hour per machine? You cant even print that fast 🙄
dude on the video saying there was no fraud said it
Yeah... i started like 45ish minutes in
I just sent out an email to all 4 emails listed below. I don't know if it will help, but this is what I wrote
Hello, I am a citizen deeply concerned with the rush to certify Maricopa county.
Sincerely, A Concerned Citizen
Left voicemails....
Did I hear this correct? DID THESE ASSHOLES CERTIFY??
yes after crying about how hard they have it
"Oh wow. A bunch of trump supporters are bombarding me with calls to do the right thing. I guess I'll stop being a corrupt piece of shit."
I feel 0% of these questions were answered sufficiently. Edit: currently watching the livestream. Total crock.
These people really do like complementing themselves on their "hard work"
or call them and tell them they have a place in gitmo ready for when they certify the vote 🤣
Update?
Certified.

feeling so helpless watching it when they're clearly not even going to listen to us :\
Most of this panel has been them jerking each other off and believing the Dominion rep.
exactly. just stroking each others' cocks.
"In Venezuela the dictator did something" Where have we heard that before? Fuck these pricks. I see evil here.
He can’t respond to “can votes be changed on the backend of the software”.... he doesn’t know or doesn’t want to answer.....?
“These are state of the art machines. They aren’t like the old ones with problems. They have new faster scanners and better scanners...” they didn’t even say what the problems were with the old ones or address how these corrected them.
The new ones are better at cheating. So I've heard. But I'd like more evidence... I wish Sidney Powell would send me all the evidence so I could lose it in the mail.
Name checks out
dude this isn't complicated just look at what time the post was created.
Anyone know how this turned out?
They jerked each other off about how great of a job they did and then voted to certify.
They haven't certified yet but I believe these losers will.
They did.
Certified.
So... that’s it? It’s gone?
Certification wasn't our last chance; it was THEIR last chance to turn around.
Now that they've committed a flagrantly illegal act, they've opened themselves to felony charges once the truth comes out.
No, still a long way to go, lots of chances for lawsuits, lots of chances to try to get it turned over to the state legislature and have them just choose the electors instead.
Called....voice mail...left message with my represantive.....Hickman.
I don’t trust any of them.
Adrian Fontes is treasonous
We already won if we only count legal votes. MAGA for another four years.
I'm not in Arizona but according to what people are saying it's going to voicemail. These people are probably ignoring the calls and are going to vote no matter if you try to call and tell them what to do.
What the hell happened.
They certified.
Done!!
Powell has already said as much. Any state official who certifies fraudulent vote totals will be sued.
We still have that interesting email from kelly dixon to contend with here in maricopa.... that fucking dumb bitch deleted her Twitter.
They’re a bunch of snakes. This isn’t going anywhere good.
As if cheating Democrats are going to listen to anybody when they have an agenda
