As they should be tbh. If you want them to dedicate all their time to the case and have full buy-in to get our guy out, it's worth paying to have them be able to solely focus on this case. The Left wants everything free but people who worked hard to get where they are deserve compensation for their work.
If he wins they should then sue for defamation and damages in civil court, as well as legal fees which should make up the cost anyways. Like Sandman got a ton of money from Lin Wood representing him.
Don't think a plaintiff can get legal fees in a defamation case, but hopefully Kyle can get something.
I agree the defense attorneys should be paid. My only concern was them spending all that time and money fighting extradition when there was never any chance Kyle would not be extradited and he was having to stay in jail the whole time. Seemed it would have been much better for Kyle to not fight being sent to WI and then using the $2MM+ in defense funds that had been raised to promptly bail him out so he could be at home or in school. The attorneys could still get paid at the end of the case when the bail $ is returned. Yes, they would have to delay getting paid for a while and probably front some expenses, but this case should not take years to get resolved and isn't going to require a bunch of expensive experts so I would not think that would be a huge deal. Especially not for a high powered law firm.
Is it possible Trump can pardon him? I'm assuming it's a federal court since it's a felony charge, but maybe I'm mixed up. After election is secured I could see him helping Kyle
No. It’s a state charge. Only WI governor could pardon. I can’t see how he isn’t acquitted though. Hell I don’t see how the judge doesn’t throw this out before it even gets to a jury. Everything you need to prove self defense is on video and in the charging documents.
