16

I heard there wasn't any evidence on Cucker... hmmmm

3
AdamBomb 3 points ago +3 / -0

Why would you watch to start? I get the "Let's see all sides" argument, but honestly Dems don't watch Tucker in the first place.

Mostly Republicans in the older demographic watch Fox. We (populist post-TV generation) are already taking hold of the party. We still have a lot of ground to cover but we're making good strides (EVERYONE OF US MUST PARTICIPATE IN NEXT PRIMARY SEASON!!!). Why listen to the puppets echoing the dying screams of globalist moguls when they serve no purpose other than to get you to repeat a controlled opposing narrative to other MSM (well, at least outside of primary season... gotta convince distracted allies about the truly good candidates then)? You're better off listening to CNN so you can easily talk down true opposition at most points in time.

AngrySerb1 2 points ago +2 / -0

I agree lol stop talking about tucker. He never crosses my mind until I see people post but even then I forgot the next second. Tucker is just a paid actor up there nothing more

It's like they saw the light of THE TRUMP TRAIN at the end of the tunnel!!!!!

There's no stopping it.

46
DeadOverRed 46 points ago +46 / -0

The saw the light coming straight for them. It's not that easy to drop a case- judges often won't let lawyers quit unless they have a good personal reason and find a replacement, or their clients refuse to obey the law . . . hmmmm

9
finger_blast 9 points ago +9 / -0

Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel

Is just a Trump train coming your way

27
iamherefortheluls 27 points ago +28 / -1

it could be a delaying tactic. Judge would be obliged to grant him extensions to get new lawyers

I imagine they were forced into the withdrawal after one of their lawyers made threats against the Trump team. Just my guess.

205
VictoriousTrump 205 points ago +205 / -0

I think they are withdrawing because of the voicemail that Kirkland employee sent to someone on Trump's team. I remember hearing her speak about that during last hearing,

96
salvecitizen 96 points ago +96 / -0

Oh is that the abusive voicemail that the Trump lawyer filed a complaint about? It was astonishing behavior for an attorney, even for a real asshole.

I wonder if it was really their decision, or the SoS office?

A Kirkland & Ellis associate engaged in behavior that could lead to disbarment for not only the associate, but several partners. K&E tried to play the, "It wasn't our fault game," but that's now how the law works. https://twitter.com/Cernovich/status/1329931008133632001?s=20

118
FRONT_TOWARD_LEFT 118 points ago +118 / -0

Go after the partners. Take away their livelihoods.

This is what it means to take hold of the cancel-culture weapon the left spent the last forty years forging and smiting those smug pieces of shit with it.

“Judge rejects plea to sanction Kirkland for associate's voicemail to lawyer for Trump campaign”

33
Constitution_jd 33 points ago +33 / -0

Yes, but that's only one remedy. The real venue to punish these attorneys is before the ARDC - where they can lose their license and more

22

We're listening to Cernovich again?

116
shade1k 116 points ago +116 / -0

It turns out you can't, as a lawyer formally representing your client, just call up the opposition lawyer and scream threats at them to try and get them to withdraw.

It's almost like there are these things in courts called "rules" and there's no "but I called them nazis so I win" exception to those rules.

It's a surprise to me too.

39
Proda 39 points ago +39 / -0

Democrats and rules are kinda like water and oil.

2
hiddenpede 2 points ago +2 / -0

That is why you need an emulsifier so you can then apply some heat to get the two to bind together and then you can just flush that shit right out. That is how you drain the swamp!

Replacement is Barry Berke of Kramer Levin Law Firm it seems

https://archive.vn/i7faQ

Barry Berke is a renowned trial lawyer who is on leave from his firm to be the counsel for the House Judiciary Committee Democrats during the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump. Berke is presenting his opinion on whether Trump should be impeached during the Judiciary Committee’s December 9, 2019, hearing.

https://archive.vn/MCuyC

"There was a trifecta of Constitutional wrongdoing: abuse of power, betrayal of national security and corruption of our election," Berke says. (Feb 2020)

https://archive.vn/JBdQ4

Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.), Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee, today sent a letter to Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) regarding conflict of interest issues in hiring consultant Barry Berke.

Over the course of Mr. Berke’s law practice at Kramer Levin, has he gained any special knowledge of the business of the Trump Organization or had access to any information related to the Trump Organization?

(b) Except as stated in paragraph (c), a lawyer may withdraw from representing a client if:

(1) withdrawal can be accomplished without material adverse effect on the interests of the client;

(d) Upon termination of representation, a lawyer shall take steps to the extent reasonably practicable to protect a client’s interests, such as giving reasonable notice to the client, allowing time for employment of other counsel, surrendering papers and property to which the client is entitled and refunding any advance payment of fee or expense that has not been earned or incurred. The lawyer may retain papers relating to the client to the extent permitted by other law.
