That is the best explanation I have heard yet. Although, when I was a very young lad, only girls had Cooties. And then as I got older. I started to realize that they had something much nicer than Cooties. And that thing, is, Booties. And all of a sudden, Cooties was no longer an issue.

Cooties is rare in that transmission of the disease happens when somebody that doesn't like you declares that you "Have Cooties".
Researches believe this might be why it spreads so quickly.
