But this is actually a deeper underlying problem of trauma based news syndrome, where people are constantly told to trust the news rather than their own common sense. And this has gone on for so long, people actually forgot how to use their common sense, and have to relearn to think for themselves.
The first thing to do is stop consuming lies. CNN, FOX, NBC, ABC, Washington Post, New york times, Times magazine, etc. You have to go cold turkey off these ASAP, and start consuming a better diet, with people who actually have been in this for a while and know the situation.
Example, in your case, where your family are all convinced the election is over, I would start them on a steady diet of Steve Bannon's the war room pandemic:
You can watch them live mon-fri 10am and 5pm EST, and sat 10am, the youtube link has their previous shows.
It's a podcast so if you have apple podcast, you can subscribe.
Once you get a good healthy diet of Bannon, you'll start to feel much stronger, as your common sense comes back into practice.
Then you can branch out from there to the following:
