A good seasoned cast iron skillet can cook a great steak anywhere.. I don't even bother with the grill anymore unless it's for show. But I guess it's pretty hard to fuck up a filet.
Most people don't know it's not hard to trim a tenderloin and is almost equivalent to what you'd spend on a good ribeye or strip all said and done... plus you can use some of the trim and not steak worthy pieces for other things. Like a banging philly steak sub or stir fry.
