I straight up bet money on trump getting the popular vote. Got two slabs of beer with my dad, a slab with my mate and a bottle of baileys with my mum on trump winning. I was confident enough to declare that trumps landslide would be as close to a Reagan Mondale result as an election could get.

After the events of the 4th every single one of them has come to claim the booze off me, and many have laughed at how stupid my landslide claim was. They keep telling me I’m delusional. I keep telling them to wait for the kraken.

Hi. What’s a “slab” of beer?? And what state/region does that term come from?

Australia, a slab is a carton/24 beers.

It’s well known in Australian law, that if you see a friend on the news or in a newspaper, and are the first to declare “slabbed” when you see them - you win a slab at their expense.

Jesus, just did some digging, and even within my own country the term ‘slab’ is disputed regionally.

I’m from Victoria, but I live in Western Australia. A slab to me and mine, has always been a box/case/carton of bottles or cans. Wether that’s 24 bottles or 30 cans - a slab is still a big block of beer.
