Kyle merely found himself in a situation where he was forced to decide if his life was worth more than the violent pedophile that was chasing him. He tried to distance himself from that situation but eventually he was left with no choice but to defend himself and we are all proud and filled with admiration with the choice he made and how well and decisive that he made it.
