I think Bill Barr has a network of people in the DOJ that he trusts - tentacles if you will - that he gave authority to start digging much sooner than previous guidance allowed. As the evidence came in to Sydney and others, they have slowly been processing it and passing along what they can.
Also would explain why the Durham investigation was not release prior to election and that was announced early. IMO, any AG would be obligated to tell the public if a candidate was corrupt. Unless they knew they could fry more fish AND still win the election by watching them cheat and proving it. They knew they had people caught but they needed them to actually commit the fraud first.
edit: also his interview on voter fraud he got fired up. Have you ever seen Bill Barr fired up? He wanted this to happen because he knew people woudl get caught.

Totally agree, he chose to cast a wide net and catch as many corrupt fish as he could rather than just the few elites that we already know about plus it now proves massive voter fraud which will allow us to finally secure our election system
Barr is a swamp rat, not kraken
If the story of the server was confiscated were true, I think Barr must be aware of it and is investigating the full scope of the election fraud. Will it be quick enough to release all the information, I do not know.
Reads like Barr was supposed to be the Kraken but he flopped. Now Trump is just going to be doing themselves.
It's all about the proof and he's got it!
There is zero reason to believe that they have done anything in the past to take on the swamp, and zero reason to believe anything has changed now.
The only players that have been arrested, tried, and convicted are Trump men.
