How can any person legitimately argue that this is not a mental illness?

Easy. Just change the meaning of words, so that "mental" means "mint" and "illness" means "candy".

Does any of this look like mint candy to you?

If they could legitimately argue that, they wouldn't need to censor dissent at every turn.
