Do you have a learning disability?

in favor of gun control, taxing corporations, heavy regulations, unions, and election fraud

You can be against all of that, it doesn't make you a conservative.

As I said, there's more than 2 positions in politics.

Conservative means that you want to "conserve" society as it was in the second half of the 20th century.

The opposite is "progressives": the people who want to destroy all social norms and believe our ancestors were a bunch of ignorant bigots.

Conservative also means that you see the family as the basic building block of society. As opposed to individualist ideologies such as libertarianism.

This is interesting but I also think it misses the forest for the trees a little bit as the second half of the 20th century paved the way for many of the problems we currently face. The deep state became entrenched, the CIA started demanding endless wars, the Soviet Union was finalizing their infiltration into Western society etc. GK Chesteron's quote about conservatives failing to conserve anything comes to mind and he's been proven correct again and again.

Conservatism doesn't seem to do very much except provide the most basic of templates for approaching life which is all fine and good except that other ideologies also provide similar templates. Conservatism after all set off the Gulf War.
