Does anyone know of any reading lists of good books that that aren't tainted with leftist subtext to warp your mind?
It would be nice to read some quality stories without worrying about that moment if "ugh.. here they go.. another author derailing the whole story just to teach me why im evil again.."
Any subjects, looking for leisure reading
Anything by Cormac McCarthy. I recommend his Border Trilogy, but most will say Blood Meridian is his best and it’s hard to argue. The Road was also great and an easy read.
Raymond Carver’s short stories are based and awesome. If you remember the movie Birdman with Michael Keaton, all the plays in that movie were Raymond Carver short stories.
David Foster Wallace. He’s brilliant and hilarious. He would’ve been considered a liberal back in the 90s but now his work comes off as based as hell. His essay collections are amazing (he’s got an essay on the importance of Terminator 2 in film lol) and thought provoking. But Infinite Jest is his masterpiece. It’s super long but unlike any other book on the plant. Written in the early 90s and set in the “future” of 2007, the book accurately predicts Netflix, FaceTime, and other cultural phenomena while making fun of it all and exploring themes of loneliness and addiction as well as corporate governance.
