dont be alarmed BUT if you tech savy you can have android and leave google. its becoming a topic i think is becoming more relevant to us all rather then tech geeks just do a quick web search on de-googled phones, there might be viable way here soon

didnt know how tech you where but any of the lineageOS or de google firmwares should get you not worried about updates and privacy
