This is simple reverse psychology. They want people to ditch Tucker. They have no reason to think a clear anti-Trump article on their left wing news site would motivate conservatives to give him another chance. Just the opposite, using themselves as a damaging endorsement.

I don´t think they have the mental capacity for something like reverse psychology, especially not the author of that article based on the way he writes.

I think in his mind he sees Tucker as a centralized tool to lead the masses by his "honesty". Think about it, a decentralized organic community like this here is much harder to control if there is no central information source.
