Well it's true we were created different than animals but what we know of today as humanity is due to the original sin.
A lot has been changed, either by bad actors or lost in time. It was a long time ago.
There has to be more to the story than is written. Either Satan has much more power than is let on in the bible or there is another reason he still has power.
If you truly believe God is all knowing and all powerful then Satan's corruption was part of the plan.
I do believe that.
Unless God didn't give mankind and angels freewill, then we were destined to disobey him.
I think the reason he still has power is his way of running things hasn't gone completely south yet. In revelation, there are detailed descriptions of how satan comes to rule the world in-person for 42 months and basically causes the world to end. God knows this will happen, it's part of his plan for a new heaven and a new earth post-judgement day.
