My father practiced law for over a decade, and one of the things he said he learned working with female lawyers and paralegals is that they cry when a man would curse.

Men and women express anger and frustration differently.

That's an incredibly deep insight into human nature. And that's not to say crying is a sign of weakness. They are the two fundamental human reactions when confronted by the reality of evil.

Oh yeah. My dad didn't mean they were weak. He meant he learned to interpret the crying as cursing and not make a big deal out of it.

Deceptive female lawyers would use it to throw off male lawyers that didn't understand this! Didn't work on my dad!

Yup. Crying is a big deal to men, so they assume they have to do something to fix it if they see a woman crying. Sometimes they just need to let it out.
