I was raised in Buffalo but I've been gone a few years. I miss real pizza.

716 should stop voting for democrats, then.

I agree, Erie county flip flops a lot but I can assure you out here in the sticks, it’s MAGA country, just the typical city shenanigans. On the plus side, our Sheriff already gave Cuomo the finger over Thanksgiving. Weekly pro trump car parades up to the election, our political talk show is red (David Bellavia even has his own segment). I know NY gets a bad rep, but if the city would just dump into the ocean, NY would be red in a heartbeat.

Erie, Broome, Monroe, Onondaga, and Albany are the only blue counties in NY. Even Monroe and Onondaga were light blue this time. Westchester and downstate is just spillover from the city so that barely counts.

Most of 716 is red. 716 includes a lot of counties, and only Erie leans a bit blue (which is because of Buffalo and now Amherst a little). Otherwise, the rest of 716 - Niagara, Chatauqua, Cattaraugus, etc. - is red.

In fact, NY-27, which includes a lot of 716, is one of the country's reddest districts. Hear that, Nate McMurray? Fuck off.

Yep, upstate livelihood is literally based off of the city. It was something us folks would just bitch about at the bar but with this year and Cuomo, enough is enough.

For sure, I have no clue what keeps us from doing it unless we’re trapped behind the scenes. The city always like to say us upstate folks need them to stay afloat, however, we provide all their services. I hope in time there can be a voice that can compete against Cuomo, it’s the elephant in the room, but nobody has stood up yet.
