Absent parents and/or marxist cultists. But this one is genuinely sad, unlike the honk honk ones where they got off to college and start making clownshow fashion choices that leave normal people rolling on the floor in mocking laughter.
Lived in OR most of my life, I've seen this happen to a dozen different women. Meth is certainly a big contributing factor. Everybody jokes about the pot, but meth is the real societal rot in OR.
Meths is a big problem down under too, especially in NZ. Pot is more on a level with alcohol and so on, it isn't good for you overall but it won't outright destroy you in the way ice does.
Based on an extrapolation of just what I've seen on social media, millions. Quite often the parents are complicit and have sacrificed their own children upon the altar of their leftist ideology.
This has been happening in OR for much longer than that. I left before pot was legalized and used to joke that you couldn't throw a rock without hitting a stoner. But the meth problem was endemic and virtually ignored. It might happen at an accelerated rate now, but it was already rotting society pretty damn fast.
She probably turned transient cause her parents told her no once and ran away. See plenty of these types in New Orleans, sad but yes mental illness is a big problem in our country.
