I think he's referring to the reformation, when protestantism formed after the Catholic Church had become too involved in European Politics.

I used to think black wednesday, where he made a lot of his money, was a stupid event which allowed an evil man a lot of power. More and more, it seems to me that it was specifically orchestrated.
It is much bigger than just him.
His children are deeply involved in the corruption as well.
