Agree. The massive amount of repeat posting basically makes serious discussion impossible -- people who are interested in a topic are sprawled out over dozens of threads, and just end up repeating themselves if they comment on multiple threads, instead of moving a discussion forward in a substantive way.

Also, we could really use a sort for threads with the most recent comments. This keeps hot topics on the first few pages, without people reposting the topic/link over and over again, and draws people interested in discussing the topic to the same thread.
