This, we need to hammer this again and again.

"Even when shown mountains of evidence, the election fraud deniers still won't accept the truth"

Exactly right--"gatekeeper" is the right word, that's what they think they are, instead of seekers and reporters of the truth.

I think the media mission is not what you think it is.

This is a BIG business. They sell ad space, ad time, ad clicks. Whatever causes advertisers to give them money is what they show. That's it. They don't give a rat's ass about truth, justice, and the American Way. They don't care about truth, honesty, lies. They DO want sensationalism, they want fire, fights, yelling, arguing, blood.

They want to protect those who give them "scoops", inside info, in the hopes they're the first to show the most trauma, the most horror. This makes them famous, makes them rich, advances their careers.

They're not sources of news, at least that function is way down the list.

That's true in a broader sense. The big media companies know what kind of movies make a lot of money. And yet they keep pushing the leftist crap they think is Important.

They are hugely motivated by wanting to be one of the Cool Kids. Virtue signaling, tribal acceptance, is hugely important.

Maybe the Big Business aspect is being buried in their agenda-driven political correctness. Mega-billionaires perhaps really don't care whether their media properties make any money or not. As long as they are perceived as virtuous, that's all that matters. Hmm....

Dude we gave 2,800 subpoenas in russiagate and they still believe the Russians interfered with the election. Nothing will get them to go against their bias

Perhaps Ronna should have just said "an anonymous source familiar with the thinking of the local election board".

That always seemed to work for the Democrats.

Doubt it. Opinions are hard to change, even harder when people can't think for themselves.

People will get smarter, but the media are not people. They are communists waiting for their free helicopter rides. So... no.

Media are committing suicide. They have screamed for 4 years about how the Russians had rigged the election for trump. Now they are screaming that election rigging is Impossible. This will be the hill they die on.

It's not about intelligence. They know it's cheating and illegitimate. They just don't care. Biden must win at all costs.

The media needs to be physically taken out. That's how we begin to get America back in the hands of the citizens.

I can't tell you how many Dims I run across, both on the internet and in real life, who absolutely INSIST there is NO evidence of election fraud.

They deliberately close their eyes and ears to it, because they don't want to know and don't want to face the fact that their side are 'the baddies'.

3
bigdickhangsright 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's not that they won't believe the evidence, it's that their cognitive dissonance won't allow them to accept it. Besides, fuck em. We've got this despite them

It's not that people are dumb, it's that they have been involuntarily indoctrinated by gatekeeper entities that the authoritarians have spent the last 50 years putting into place. Cognitive dissonance is real.

It would be faster to revoke their licenses and let real news fill the vacuum, as opposed to trying to convince corrupt criminals to change their ways.
