It's been fucked ever since. Inslee was Lt Governor for Gregoire and he's been long entrenched in the PNW swamp. He's also a complete idiot, as evidenced by his central campaign issue being "climate change" - something that does not exist AT ALL in the Pacific Northwest.
Our SoS is a 'Republican' though she ends up getting re-elected each cycle, which tells you all you need to know about that.
There are a lot of left wing idiots out here thanks to big tech Microsoft and Amazon (and some Google and Facebook presence too).
I don't think Trump won WA State, just too many dumbfucks in Western Washington, and you have all the big tech companies pushing the leftist agenda to all their employees (if you want to internet sleuth - the husband of our congresswoman DelBene is a senior VP at Microsoft who has been sending regular COVID-19 updates painting a dire picture for months and months to all employees).
They don't need to cheat here, though I wouldn't be surprised if they did in a few of the purple areas that are close.

I don’t know how to explain it other than they are just so... idk - partisan, conditioned, brainwashed... to support the Democrat party and knee jerk assume that Republicans are all rich, evil racists. It doesn’t matter who is on the ticket... it could be Satan himself or a ham sandwich, if there’s a ‘D’ next to the name thats the one getting the vote.
There are huge homeless camps in my very expensive and trendy neighborhood. I see people organizing on next door to go down there with portable batteries so that these poor down on their luck folks can charge their phones. And then in the very next post a bunch of people wondering why there seems to be such an increase in breaks ins. It boggles the mind.
While I would love to think Trump could win here I honestly think there’s a better chance he actually won California (and I think that is still prob a long shot) than possibly won WA. While most people I talk to don’t have anything good to say about Inslee I’m sure that the vast majority of them still voted for him because... Democrat. This place is lost.
