As a former SD resident, it really is a fantastic place. The Black Hills and The Badlands are absolutely gorgeous. I lived in Sioux Falls, and even though it’s mostly farmland in the surrounding area, there are some incredible State Parks. Even Sioux Falls is a cool place with a really nice little downtown area.
