When someone is admitted to the hospital for CCPvirus, are the admission standards the same as they were in March, that you have to have already developed pneumonia? Are you more successful at treating people now? Are ventilators seen as truly a last resort, and to be avoided if at all possible?
Admission standards are the same. Treatment protocols are now in place and now very effective for the most part (ie keeping people outpatient and avoiding taking up beds). What’s truly fucking us over is that hospitals keep shutting down their elective out patient clinics and claim they are “at capacity.” When in truth they could be running those clinics fine and also help the covid cases. Vents are a last resort still.
