Think raspberry pi with teamspeak server and encryption certs. You can link up with Ham operators in the case of actual emergencies.

We’ll be hitting power stations and other soft infrastructure targets first, the grid can’t be relied on.

Lucky pis run on little power and there are lots of options. Too much infrastructure damage and the long game is lost as foreign powers enter the game.

So this is where I’m torn. Because the more I think about it, the more this could become a global insurrection against the powers that be. In that case we’ll literally be seeing something equivalent of an apocalypse - the scope of which could expand to 2/3 of human life on the planet ending.

There’s 0 chance of winning a straight war against even a fraction of the active military. And we wouldn’t want to be killing American soldiers anyway as they will likely be our largest recruiting pool. But this country could be easily undone and the government overthrown by sustained infrastructure attacks, assassinations, and economic terrorism.

Unless there is a cabal of generals, and a massive amount of patriots and active duty military ready to act with overwhelming force in an extremely organized manner - it’s likely this will be a long drawn out guerrilla conflict. Which means we might literally have to break this country to save it. Which then extends to supporting a similar movement in China, which then leads to the possibility of world war and the end of our current mode of civilization.

But I’m looking more into the raspberry pi thing. Are you suggesting we could build our own encrypted radios this way? Might be a fun hobby to get into.

Think LAN with an adhoc network for groups working in a small area, plus you can patch it to a "real radio" and you can use encryption.
