In conventional war China could never beat us. If you look back into history the Nazis had a top down command control that did not allow field commanders to adapt to the conditions on the ground. The sleeping dragon isn't going to "win" a conventional war because that's not how they're going to fight. They'll turn all of our allies abroad against us and then destroy our currency (purchasing power) while supporting the people (and ideas) that are destroying us internally. They are well positioned to do it too.
