I suspect most of the combat MOS support us, with the support jobs being a mixed bag of supporters for either side and "just here for the check" types. Command likely supports whoever's in the white house, at least on surface, and is likely a mix of Deep staters and a few Patriots. But foreign troops on US soil, even if invited for "security reasons" is likely gonna create so much friction the military eventually paralyses in self-sabotage, or begins to break apart in conflict, especially if the any sort of tragedies occur involving foreign troops.
As long as friendly soldiers can supply Patriots with better equipment, and I imagine they'll provide leadership with anti-Tyranny operations, then I think that's kind of a win for us. Eliminate anyone who's a traitor. If anyone in the military ends up supporting a coup against the US, then breaking apart will only help us identify enemies.
I say this as someone with absolutely zero combat experience or idea of how procedures in the military actually work, but I'm keeping my hopes high that things will unfold in our favor.
I think that you're right that having foreign troops on US soil would probably be enough to rattle any fencesitters into waking up to what's going on. We'll see. Or we might not, if we can avoid things getting that far.
Well, to get that far, would take a Biden-like administration causing enough damage economically ruin peoples standards of living, and rolling over their rights to do anything about. If that instigates people into open conflict long enough, and the administration knows National Guard or other military units can't really be trusted as their too sympathetic, they would invite UN peacekeepers.
I'm more concerned about how this could go down by January 20th. Not really looking past that date yet to try and predict.
But it seems like what we could be heading for is Biden declares himself President, but President Trump refuses to recognize that. It's possible you'd finally see Patriots go on the offensive against Biden. At the very least there would be an attempt to stop his "Inauguration". And that's when the chaos starts.
If POTUS fights and holds the line and anyone attempts to remove him from the WH on January 20th, after we already view Biden as illegitimate, then I think Biden would try to call in help from the totalitarians in other places like UN and CCP.
It's really hard to game out that scenario mentally just because there are so many variables and a lot of unknowns, but I think it's less feasible that a rebellion against Biden could take place after he steps into the Oval Office.
We are at our most powerful and ready right now, if we don't defend while the iron is hot then that could cause us trouble down the road.

There are millions of us. We don't need the fucking military. Every single wargame that has ever played out this scenario has had the populace winning, particularly if any appreciable percent of the military defects to our side, as you know they would. No need to worry about that particular scenario.
I'm mostly just concerned about the quality of our arms (says the normie who doesn't own any guns because I'm a dirt poor college student, that ends in May 2021 though!).
I imagine having military tech, and especially combat experience, on our side will be an invaluable asset. Especially if other country-level forces (even if they're on the level of 3rd world shithole militaries) were to get involved.
If we ever got into a ground war on American soil it'd be an insurgency similar to what happened in the Revolution, except technology and communications will be vastly different.
Also, the enemy could have airpower and we wouldn't exactly be in a good spot if Biden had any air support (or god forbid any drone pilots were to take his side).
