Can any lawyer Pedes explain to me why Team Trump bothered to file and lose the case with Judge Brann in PA today?

I mean... it’s like they didn’t even try to win...and in a courtroom facing a Democrat judge. They put up such a weak effort that it just looked silly. More of a tantrum than a lawsuit.

But feel they wouldn’t do that without a strategic reason. Can someone fill me in?
